U.S. Deputy Secretary of State to visit Armenia
U.S. Deputy Secretary of State James B. Steinberg will be paying visits to Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Albania and Bosnia between February 23 and 26, RIA Novosti reports citing the Department of State.
Steinberg will be accompanied by Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip H. Gordon.
Meetings of high ranking U.S. diplomats with leaders of the countries will focus on issues on the bilateral agenda and the regional situation. They will meet with representatives of civil society and media in each of the country, the State Department reports.
The top U.S. diplomats will meet with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian in Yerevan, Armenian MFA reported earlier.
