Harutyun Merdinyan wins European Gymnastics Championships bronze

Armenia’s Harutyun Merdinyan performed excellently at the European Gymnastics Championships in Berlin, Germany. Scoring 14.95 points in the finals he took bronze. Merdinyan was only 0.1 point behind Cyril Tommasone of France who took silver.

Note that this is the first major achievement of Armenian gymnastics in the post-Soviet period.
