Government allocates funds for Lake Sevan public beaches
At a cabinet session, the Armenian government adopted a decision to allot 2,16 hectares of land for organizing public beaches on the shore of Lake Sevan. Public beaches will be organized in the recreation zone of Sevan National Park, with 66m AMD allocated by the government.
“The decision was adopted in accordance with Armenian President’s instruction to create free beaches for citizens. The allocated funds will be used for developing the mentioned areas,” Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said.
The cabinet session also adopted a decision to create a fund for rehabilitation, preservation and development of Lake Sevan and allocated 1m AMD to the fund.
