Marco Van Basten has been shortlisted as Hamburg's preferred candidate to replace sacked coach Michael Oenning, according to a report from Speigel.

Following a poor start to their Bundesliga campaign, HSV lost patience with Oenning, who was relieved of his position on Monday, Goal.com reported.
