Another diversion attack by Azerbaijan: one killed

On June 6, at about 4:15 am an Azerbaijani intelligence-diversion group attempted to enter NKR Defense Army’s posts in the southern region of contact line between Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan, in Horadiz direction.

NKR armed forces fixed the hidden rival’s actions on time and repulsed the Azerbaijani attack. As a result of exchange of fire the rival gave losses. The Armenian side as well gave losses during the defense.

NKR forces halted Azerbaijan’s attack, with considerable casualties sustained by Azerbaijan. Casualties are also reported on the Armenian side. As a result of Azeri sabotage, Jr. Sergeant Vardan Ohanyan was killed and soldiers Arayik Mavreyan and Volodya Tsatryan were injured, NKR Defense Army’s press service said.

This is the 4th intelligence diversion attack in June carried out by the Azerbaijani Army.
