Armen Sargsyan appoints his brother-in-law as his deputy
Armen Sargsyan, head of Shengavit administrative district, has appointed his brother-in-law as his deputy, Zhoghovurd daily reports. The paper contacted head of Shengavit district administration’s press service, Arevik Yeghiazaryan, to clarify for what has Sargsyan appointed his brother-in-law on that position.
“The law on Local Self-government in Yerevan stipulates that the deputy’s position is discretionary and a deputy is appointed by the head of the district. The head of Shengavit district appointed Gevorg Hovhannisyan to this position for his professional preparedness, experience in the field of management and biography,” she said.
