Armenian Chess Players in Chigorin Memorial

GM Vladimir Akopian scored 7 points out of 9 and shared 3rd-11th places at Chigorin Memorial in St. Petersburg, Russia. He finished tenth on tiebreak.

GMs Robert Hovhannisyan, Sergey Grigoriants, Artur Gabrielian, Yuriy Ajrapetjan scored 6.5 points each.

Vladimir Akopian was only half a point behind the winners - GMs Alexander Areshchenko (Ukraine) and Bartosz Socko (Poland). Areshchenko finished first on tiebreak, Armenian Chess Federation website reported.
