Motorways mostly passable

As of December 18, 9 am, all the motorways of Armenia were mostly passable.

The Selim mountain pass, Berd-Chambarak, Sevan-Chambarak, Ijevan-Noyemberian, Goris-Kapan, Ashtarak-Gyumri, Yerevan-Yeghvard motorways, and the so-called “Satan Bridge” of Vanadzor-Aleverdi motorway were barely passable.

Some sections of the motorways are covered with ice. Road cleaning work is underway.

According to information provided by Georgia’s Interior Ministry Department of Emergency Situations, Stepantsminda-Lars motorway is open only to passenger cars and up to 30 seat microbuses.
