Some roads barely passable due to poor visibility

As of 09:00 am, January 9, all motorways of Armenia were mostly passable.

The Selim mountain pass and Tsakhkahovit-Alagyaz intercommunity road are closed.

Due to the snowstorm and poor visibility, the following motorways: Talin-Gyumri, Artik-Mantash-Aragats, Kuchak-Aparan-Spitak, Ashotsk-Amasia, Gavar-Martuni-Vardenis, and “Zanger” section of Yerevan-Meghri Highway are barely passable, while Yerevan-Sevan Highway is partly difficult to traverse.

Road cleaning work is underway, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.

According to the Emergency Situation Department of Georgia’s Ministry of internal Affairs, Stepantsminda-Lars Highway is closed.
