Roads barely passable, Selim mountain pass closed

As of 08:00 am on January 10, all motorways of Armenia were barely passable, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.
The Selim mountain pass is closed. The following motorways: Verin Getashen-Madina, Aragyugh-Buzhakan, Hrazdan-Meghradzor, Zar-Sevaberd, Hatis-Zovashen, Tsaghkahovit-Alagyaz, Meghradzor-Hankavan, as well as intercommunity roads of Aragats and Aparan are closed.

Due to the snowstorm and low visibility, Talin-Gyumri, Berd-Chambarak, Artik-Mantash-Aragats, Kuchak-Aparan-Spitak, Ashotsk-Amasia, Yerevan-Vanadzor, Alagyaz-Artik motorways, and “Zanger” section of Yerevan-Meghri motorway are barely passable.

Yerevan-Sevan Highway is partly difficult to traverse.

Road cleaning work is underway.

According to the Emergency Situation Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, Stepantsminda-Lars Highway is closed.

Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations urges all drivers not to drive along the indicated roads.
