Armenian president receives Philippe Lefort

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received today EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia Philippe Lefort.

The presidential press service reports that Serzh Sargsyan expressed satisfaction with the dynamic cooperation and active dialog between Armenia and the European Union, as well as progress made in the negotiations on the Association Agreement.

For his part, P. Lefort said he joins the congratulations of the EU heads and wishes the Armenian president success during his second term in office.

He pointed out that Armenia is an important country for the EU that attaches importance to stability and democracy in the country.
The sides also discussed regional problems and the post-election processes in Armenia.
