Serzh Sargsyan invites Vladimir Putin to Armenia

A meeting of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin took place today in Russia.

V. Putin congratulated once again S. Sargsyan on his reelection, saying that collecting about 60% of votes is a good result, which bears evidence of the people’s trust and creates an opportunity to implement the programs worked out in the pre-election period.
Serzh Sargsyan thanked the Russian president for the invitation. In his words, it is no accident that after his reelection he has paid his first foreign visit to Russia, a country which is Armenia’s strategic partner and ally.

The Armenian president assessed the results of Armenian-Russian cooperation as exceptional, underlining the importance of cooperation in the military sphere. He said the Russian defense minister and the Chief of the General Staff visited Armenia on Armenian Army’s Day.

During the meeting Serzh Sargsyan invited the Russian president to Armenia.
