Simon Martirosian wins gold at World Youth Weightlifting Championship

Armenian weightlifter Simon Martirosian has become a world champion at the Would Youth Weightlifting Championship held in Tashkent, the capital city of Uzbekistan.

In +94 body weight category, 16-year-old Simon Martirosian lifted a total of 365 kg (165 kg in the snatch + 200 kg in the clean and jerk).
