CEC nullifies registration of OEK deputy Gurgen Vardanian

The Central Election Commission of Armenia held a special sitting today. The Commission nullified the registration of Gurgen Vardanian, Orinats Yerkir Party’s (OEK) candidate in the elections to the Yerevan Council of Elders. The decision was made, given G. Vardanian’s application for withdrawal of his candidacy, the press service of CEC reports.

The participants also discussed the report based on the checks of the first declarations about payments made to the pre-election funds of six parties and a bloc of parties running in the May 5 elections and the use of those funds.
