Armenian president meets with Prince Charles
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met today with His Royal Highness Prince Charles who is on a private visit to Armenia at the invitation of Yerevan My Love charity initiative, the presidential press service reports.
“The Armenian people have a special attitude towards you because of your remarkable charitable activities, a striking illustration of which is your active participation in Yerevan My Love project,” Serzh Sargsyan stated.
Prince Charles thanked the Armenian president for his warm reception and the founder of Yerevan My Love project Armen Sargsyan for his invitation. He stressed the importance of Yerevan My Love project and the Dilijan International School which is under construction, noting that he has been president of the United World Colleges movement for 14 years. Prince Charles said he appreciates the attention given to youth projects and educational programs in Armenia. He expressed willingness to expand his program of assistance to young businessmen in Armenia as well.
During the meeting, the sides touched upon a number of issues related to the Armenian-British dialog at the highest level, the development of bilateral ties and the deepening of cooperation.
