Spanish ambassador presents credentials to Serzh Sargsyan

The new Spanish Ambassador Jose Ignacio Carbajal Garate (residence in Moscow) presented today his credentials to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, the presidential press service reports.

The Armenian president congratulated the ambassador on his appointment. He stated that Armenia wants to develop its ties with Spain in the political, economic and cultural spheres, which is also evident from the activities of Armenian embassy in Madrid since 2010. The ambassador said he will make efforts to promote bilateral relations between Armenia and Spain.

The sides stressed the importance of attraction of Spanish capital to Armenia, promotion of contacts in tourism and culture and cooperation within the framework of international organizations.
