Diplomatic ranks conferred on a number of Armenian diplomats
Pursuant to Article 55 clause 16 of the Constitution of Armenia and the Law on Diplomatic Service, President Serzh Sargsyan took a decision to confer diplomatic ranks on a number of diplomats.
According to the presidential press service, the diplomatic ranks of ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary have been conferred on Armenia’s Ambassador to Egypt Armen Melkonian, Ambassador to the Vatican Mikael Minasian, and Ambassador to Japan Hrant Poghosian.
Ranks of envoy extraordinary and minister plenipotentiary have been conferred on the acting Head of the Legal Department of Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Levon Amirjanian, Ambassador to Canada Armen Yeganian, Head of the European Department of MFA Armen Liloyan, Ambassador to Italy Sargis Ghazarian, advisor to Foreign Minister Tigran Mkrtchian, Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe Armen Papikian, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Netherlands Gevork Petrosian.
