Agriculture minister: 4,500 tons of apricots already purchased this year

“4,500 tons of apricots has already purchased this year. We hope we will exceed last year’s index of 12,700 tons,” Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetian said during his visit to Spayka Company today.

Apricots currently cost 500 AMD per kilogram. “Prices will decline in a few days and then the processing of the harvest will start, “he noted.

In the words of Sergo Karapetian, there are no problems with the export of apricots from Armenia.

“Spayka contributes to the development of our agriculture. This year it has purchased 3,700 tons of potatoes. The company accounts for about 50% of exports and plays an important role in the agricultural sector,” the minister said.
