Patrushev: There is enough strength and means here to ensure security
“We have visited the Russian base in Armenia and made sure that our military will ensure security in Armenia. You shouldn’t worry about that. There is enough strength and means here to ensure the security,” Secretary of Russia’s Security Council Nikolai Patrushev told reporters in Yerevan.
In response to the question about the sale of $1 billion worth of arms by Russia to Azerbaijan, Patrushev said: “When selling arms, Russia fulfills all international obligations and requirements as well as all Russian laws. Besides, we have strategic relations with Armenia”.
In his words, cooperation between the Security Councils of Russia and Armenia is at a high level. “Our councils work actively. Work is done based on two-year plans. Today we gave instructions to work out a cooperation plan for the next two years,” Patrushev said.
