Production of ‘Oscar Mini’ ice cream banned

During checks conducted at Elite Shant Company by Armenia’s State Food Safety Service, samples were taken from ‘Oscar Mini’ ice cream and ‘Éclair’ and ‘Zephyr’ confections and sent for bacteria testing on July 2, 2013.

According to a report of the Republican Center of Veterinary Sanitary and Plant Sanitary Services, by its bacteriological indices ‘Oscar Mini’ ice cream does not meet the requirements of the government decision N1925 on technical regulation of the requirements regarding milk and dairy products and their production, the State Food Safety Service said. ‘Éclair’ and ‘Zephyr’ confections did not meet the requirements of decision N2-iii-4.9-03-2010.

By a July 15 decision of the head of the State Food Safety Service, production of ‘Oscar Mini’ ice cream and ‘Éclair’ and ‘Zephyr’ confections by Elite Shant LLC was banned.
