Hrachia Harutyunian’s lawyer to submit complaints at court sitting

Alexander Maltsev, a lawyer of truck driver Hrachia Harutyunian charged in the car crash in Russian city of Podolsk, will submit a number of complaints at the court sitting today.

“We will submit a complaint against the doctors and law enforcers who took a decision to transport the accused in a housecoat to the court. It was humiliating,” Maltsev told the correspondent of Aysor.am.

In his words, they will file a petition for participation of the defense lawyers in the examination of the vehicle’s technical safety. “We will also file a petition for questioning the owner of the truck and the company. Besides, a complaint about the artificial awakening of Harutyunian from a drug-induced coma will be submitted,” the lawyer noted.

Asked if it is possible to prove that H. Harutyunian tried to avoid the collision, the lawyer replied: “Yes, it is possible”.

According to A. Maltsev, Hrachia Harutyunian is in stable health condition. “He is kept in a detention center. He feels depressed and cries,” the lawyer noted.
