Russian embassy expresses gratitude to citizens for condolences
The Russian embassy in Armenia has expressed gratitude to Armenian citizens for their condolences on the July 13 tragedy at the city of Podolsk.
“The embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Armenia expresses gratitude to all Armenian citizens who conveyed their condolences in connection with the tragedy that happened at the city of Podolsk near Moscow,” is said in a statement released by the press service of the embassy.
Let us remind you that 18 people died and about 30 were injured in the crash in ‘new’ Moscow (at Podolsk) on July 13 after a truck and a passenger bus collided. According to the Russian media, KamAZ truck’s driver, Armenian citizen Hrachia Harutyunian said that his truck’s brake failure was the cause of the accident. Earlier the court chose two month arrest as a measure of restraint against Harutyunian. The circumstance that he was brought to the court in a housecoat also drew a wide response.
