Sitting of Board of Armenian Defense Ministry held in Stepanakert

As part of cooperation between Armenia and the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, a sitting of the Board adjunct to Armenian Defense Ministry took place in Stepanakert on July 20. The sitting was chaired by Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanian, the press service of the ministry reported.

The level of combat training and military discipline, the existing problems and their solutions were discussed at the sitting with the participation of Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Colonel General Yuri Khachaturov, Commander of the NKR Defense Army Movses Hakobian, commanding officers of the armed forces of the two Armenian sates, commanders and deputy commanders of military units, etc.

Seyran Ohanian spoke briefly about geopolitical and regional developments, stressing the need to raise the efficiency of the current processes in the defense system and their regular improvement.

Deputy Chiefs of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces Lieutenant General Haykaz Baghramian and Major General Levon Mnatsakanian gave reports on the work done in the winter session of the academic year, the existing problems and their solutions.

An order of the Armenian defense minister was read out. A number of servicemen who were notable during the winter session of the 2013 academic year received diplomas, medals, and valuable gifts.
