Yerevan mayor gives instructions to set up commission on fares
At the working consultation in Yerevan Municipality today, the head of the Transport Department Henrik Navasardian, when speaking about control over the quality of public transport services, said that bids for participation in a minibus tender have been submitted, the press service of the municipality reports.
In this connection Yerevan Mayor Taron Margarian instructed the participants to inform the public as much as possible about the process of holding tenders of city bus services.
Besides, the mayor gave instructions to take steps aimed at involving representatives of all interested parties in work of the commission being set up for discussing the mayor’s decision on a change in public transport fares.
The department head also announced that road marking is underway in streets where asphalt was laid, as well as in streets adjacent to cultural, educational and healthcare institutions of the city. Road markings were drawn in areas adjacent to 33 schools, 50 road signs were installed and 16 signs were restored.
