Armenian foreign ministry sends note to Turkish side

Armenian Foreign Ministry has sent a note to the Turkish side, expressing regret about the death of the Turkish citizen on the Armenian side of the border. Foreign Ministry also expressed hope in the note that such incidents will not recur in the future, the press service of Armenia’s MFA said.

A Turkish shepherd who illegally crossed the border was shot by a frontier guard on July 31. According to the Frontier Department of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB), the death of the Turkish shepherd is under investigation.
