Parking lot fines not to be imposed in Yerevan until September 1

Issues relating to management of paid parking lots in the city were discussed during the working consultation in Yerevan Municipality today. Representatives of the company that has won the tender of parking lot organization services also participated in the consultation, according to the press service of the municipality.

Taking into account that in July and August, most residents of Yerevan are away on vacation, Yerevan Mayor Taron Margarian proposed delaying the imposition of administrative fines on people who did not pay parking lot fees until September 1 and allowing them to pay their parking duties during this time.

“A decision was made to continue an active campaign to raise public awareness so that payers will be informed about their rights and obligations as well as the mechanisms of payment,” the municipality said in a statement.
