Azerbaijani troops open fire on Movses and Aygepar border villages

Yesterday, on September 4, Azerbaijani troops opened fire on border villages of Movses and Aygepar in Tavush province of Armenia As a result, a passenger car was damaged.

At the same time the Azerbaijani mass media reported that a civilian resident of Azerbaijan was wounded because of a ceasefire violation by the Armenian side.

During a talk with the correspondent of Aysor.am, Armenian Defense Ministry’s spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisian called that information of Azerbaijani media misinformation.

In his words, the main goal of Baku is to distract the attention of the international community from Azerbaijan’s aggressive actions. He stressed that yesterday Armenian servicemen had to return the fire in order to suppress the adversary’s activity.

“Armenian servicemen don’t fire at settlements and civilians. For that reason I can insist that the Azerbaijani side is spreading misinformation,” the ministry spokesman said.
