Gas price subsidizing to be solved within Customs Union framework

“The gas price subsidizing issue will be solved within the framework of the Customs Union. A solution has already been found,” Armenian Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsisian told reporters in the parliament today.

He expressed a positive opinion about Armenia’s decision to join the Customs Union, noting that Armenia will benefit from it economically, especially in energy sector.

About $140 million is needed annually to subsidize the gas tariff.
