French president congratulates Serzh Sargsyan on Independence Day
President of France Francois Hollande sent a congratulatory message to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan on the occasion of a national holiday – Independence Day.
The press service of the Armenian president said that F. Hollande’s message particularly reads:
“On the occasion of Armenia’s national holiday, I convey my wishes of happiness and success to you and the Armenian people. Since the declaration of independence, Armenia has proceeded along a path of prosperity and democracy, in particular thanks to bold reforms implemented as part of the dialog with the European Union. I want to reaffirm France’s total support for continuation of that initiative.”
The French president said in his message that he attaches great importance to friendly ties and cooperation between Armenia and France and seeks to strengthen these ties, especially in the economic sphere.
“Let me also stress that as a Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, France attaches importance to the continuation of negotiations aimed at a peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict. I am glad that in the near future I will meet with you in Paris for joint discussion of these themes,” the congratulatory message of Francois Hollande reads.
