Serzh Sargsyan: Armenia will participate in Vilnius summit

Armenia will participate in the Vilnius summit in November, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said when responding to questions of MPs at the session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) in Strasbourg.

“We will participate in the Vilnius summit. We are prepared – as before - to sign the Association Agreement with the European Union. However, following our statement about the intention to join the Customs Union, our European colleagues spoke about the existence of a direct conflict with the free trade agreement. I state that we will continue with reforms in our country and are prepared to sign the Association Agreement related to political reforms,” Serzh Sargsyan stated.
