Sharmazanov: Terrorism is born where tolerance is absent

Vice speaker of the Armenian parliament Edward Sharmazanov participated in the sitting of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security of the CIS Inter-parliamentary Assembly held in Saint Petersburg.

According to the press service of the parliament, E. Sharmazanov said in his speech that the fight against terrorism is on the agenda of a number of CIS countries, including Armenia.

The vice speaker at the same time expressed regret that in the territory of the CIS there are still countries where ethnic and confessional hostility reigns. In his words, terrorism is born where tolerance is absent, resulting in radical nationalist sentiments in society.
