Armenian prime minister meets high-ranking officials in Moscow

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met today with First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Igor Shuvalov and Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich in Moscow, the press service of the Armenian government said.

During the working meeting the sides discussed the agreements reached at the last meeting of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin. They agreed to take steps on the implementation of the agenda issues.

Besides Igor Shuvalov, Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich and other officials represented the Russian side. The Armenian working group led by Tigran Sargsyan was composed of Armenian Ambassador to Russia Oleg Yesayan, First Deputy Chief of the Armenian President’s Staff Vardan Aramian, Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharian, First Deputy Minister of Economy Ms. Karine Minasian, Deputy Finance Minister Suren Karayan, Deputy Minister of Energy Iosif Isayan, and other officials.

The meeting in the Russian government was followed by Tigran Sargsyan’s meeting with Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission’s Board Victor Khristenko. The sides discussed the implementation of work under the mutual understanding memorandum on cooperation signed between Armenia and the Customs Union.

The prime minister also visited the Cathedral of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Moscow. He then went to the Armenian pavilion of All-Russia Exhibition Center. He familiarized himself with the pavilion’s work and activities of the companies presented there.
