Serzh Sargsyan presents annual awards to best students in IT sector

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received today the university students and pupils of senior schools who were honored with the 2013 Armenian President’s Annual Educational Awards in the information technology sector, the presidential press service said.

During the ceremony held in the presidential residence, S. Sargsyan presented the awards, certificates and cash prizes to the recipients. At the invitation of the Armenian president, the heads of several dozen academies of sciences were present at the awards ceremony. They arrived in Yerevan to attend the festive events dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Armenia’s National Academy of Sciences.

21 students from 5 universities and 18 pupils of 8 senior schools received this year the Armenian President’s Annual Educational Awards. In 2013 the list of educational institutions has been increased, with AIB Educational Center being added to it.

The president congratulated the award recipients and wished them success.
