Azerbaijan opens fire on Armenian military convoy

“Around 1:14 pm today the Azerbaijani side opened fire on vehicles traveling on Berd-Ijevan Highway, due to which people in both civilian and military cars suffered,” the press service of Armenian Defense Ministry reported.

According to the source, as a result of fire opened on military vehicles transporting servicemen to their places of military duty, 19-year-old conscript Private Garik Poghosian died, and three other conscripts aged 19 – Arthur Andranikain, Ara Zhamkarian, and Martin Petrosian were injured.

Defense Ministry informed the Office of Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk about the incident.

Armenian Defense Ministry said the criminal action of the adversary will not remain unretaliated.
