Spokesman: Situation is relatively calm in Tavush direction of border

At the moment the situation is relatively calm in the Tavush direction of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border,” Armenian defense minister’s spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisian told Aysor.am.

On October 22 the Azerbaijani side opened fire on Berd-Ijevan Highway in Tavush province of Armenia. One soldier was killed and three others were wounded. The highway was closed to traffic.

Artsrun Hovhannisian said the highway was closed in order to carry out work aimed at ensuring security.
