Marseille and Yerevan to sign new cooperation agreement

Mayor of Marseille Jean-Claude Gaudin, who is on an official visit to the Armenian capital on October 23-27, met today with Yerevan Mayor Taron Margarian, according to the press service of Yerevan Municipality.

‘Today we are going to update the agreement on cooperation between the two cities, which will give renewed impetus to mutually beneficial partnership and signify a new landmark in the history of our relations,” Taron Margarian said.

Jean-Claude Gaudin underlined the importance of Yerevan mayor’s readiness and efforts to expand cooperation of the two cities.

“The potential for our cities’ cooperation is greater than 21 years ago. The new agreement to be signed will boost cooperation. The programs to be implemented in the future will cover various spheres of municipal economy,” the mayor of Marseille stated.
