‘Sabah’ reveals details on Armenian-Turkish relations

Turkish ‘Sabah’ daily reported that it learned some details of Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu’s statement saying that efforts are being made to advance the Armenian-Turkish normalization based on constructive ideas, according to Ermenihaber.am.

“The Armenian government, which has problems with Azerbaijan over the Nagorno Karabakh issue, gave its verbal consent to withdrawal from two regions of Nagorno Karabakh. Turkey demanded that the Armenian authorities make an official statement on that issue,” the Turkish paper wrote, noting the Turkish foreign minister will attend the December 12 summit of the BSEC in Yerevan only if Armenia issues a statement about withdrawal from two regions.

“It is necessary to break this deadlock. A step will be taken and they will withdraw from two of the seven territories. Instead, its (Armenia’s) relations with Azerbaijan and Turkey will be established,” the newspaper’s diplomatic source said.
