President meets head of France-Armenia parliamentary friendship group
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received today a delegation led by the head of France-Armenia parliamentary friendship group Rene Rouqet, according to the presidential press service.
The president highly appreciated the consistent activities of Rene Rouqet and the delegation members aimed at strengthening the Armenian-French friendship and deepening bilateral cooperation in international structures.
The interlocutors noted with satisfaction that bilateral links have been dynamically developing in all the spheres since the diplomatic relations were established between the two countries two decades ago. The Armenian president and the French MPs stressed the importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation in the relationship of the two states.
The president welcomed delegation member Valerie Boyer who has repeatedly visited Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh.
He attached importance to the fact that during their visit to Armenia, French MPs also visit the NKR which provides a good opportunity to get acquainted with the regional situation, the Karabakh conflict settlement process, and the prehistory of the conflict. He expressed appreciation for the creation of France-Artsakh Friendship Circle in March of this year.
The sides exchanged views on regional and international problems.
