Jim Torosian to be buried in Yerevan Pantheon

A sitting of the government commission set up to organize the funeral of People’s Architect of the USSR, honorary citizen of Yerevan, academician Jin Torosian took place. The sitting was chaired by Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.

Preparations for the architect’s funeral were discussed at the sitting, according to the press office of the Armenian government.

A memorial service for Jim Torosian will be held in Yerevan’s Saint Hovhannes Church from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on January 8. Jim Torosian will lie in state in the building of the Union of Architects of Armenia from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on January 9. Jim Torosin will be buried in the Yerevan Pantheon after Komitas.
