Azeris attempt to hinder participation of Armenia and NKR in Fitur Fair

A group of Azerbaijanis made an attempt to hinder the participation of Armenia and the Nagorno Karabakh Republic in International Tourism Fair Fitur 2014 being held in Madrid on January 21-26. Racist slogans were chanted during the provocation, the press service of National Competitiveness Foundation of Armenia (NCFA) said.

On receiving information about the incident, security guards took urgent measures against the troublemakers and soon policemen removed them from the fair.

The pavilion of Armenia and the NKR remains open, attracting much attention of visitors.

NCFA along with five local travel agencies display historical and cultural heritage of Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh and tourist attractions of the two republics in the same pavilion. This year 10,000 tourist organizations from 167 countries, more than 110,000 trade agencies and 92 thousand visitors are participating in Fitur.
