Work underway to organize ICRC meeting with Mamikon Khojoyan
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Offices in Yerevan and Baku are doing coordinated work concerning the issue of Mamikon Khojoyan, a 77-year-old Armenian citizen who crossed into Azerbaijan yesterday.
Zara Amatuni of the ICRC Yerevan Office told Aysor.am that the Baku Office is conducting negotiations with the Azerbaijani authorities to organize a meeting with M. Khojoyan.
“Our task is to organize a meeting with the Armenian citizen as soon as possible,” Zara Amatuni said. According to her, the ICRC Office in Yerevan has no information about M. Khojoayn’s health condition.
Representative of the ICRC Office in Baku Ilakha Huseynova earlier told the APA news agency that negotiations are being conducted with Azerbaijani authorities so as to organize a meeting with the Armenian citizen.
