Use of force or threats of force on border is inadmissible
Secretary of Armenia’s National Security Council (NSC) Arthur Baghdasarian met today with Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Nikolai Bordyuzha who is on a two-day working visit to Yerevan at the invitation of A. Baghdasarian, the press service of NSC said.
The interlocutors discussed issues related to cooperation within the CSTO framework, including development of the CSTO’s military component, and organizational, technical and legal measures on the creation of CSTO joint air forces and the control system of the CSTO troops.
In particular, the sides addressed issues related to the creation of a number of joint ventures in the military industrial sphere and national anti-drug and cyber security centers in Armenia and the organization of an annual international strategic forum of the CSTO in Yerevan.
Organizational issues of the foundation of the CSTO Academy in Armenia were also discussed. It is planned to open the Academy in September 2014.
Arthur Baghdasarian and Nikolai Bordyuzha spoke about problems of stability, security and peace in the South Caucasus. They discussed the ceasefire violations on the Line of Contact and considered the use of force and threats of force as unacceptable.
