Beninese ambassador presents credentials to Armenian president

Beninese Ambassador to Armenia Aniset Gabriel Kochofa (diplomatic residence in Moscow) presented today his credentials to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, the presidential press service said.

The Armenian president congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and wished him success, noting that Armenia attaches importance to political dialog and contacts with African countries, including Benin.

The interlocutors expressed hope that following the formation of the necessary legal and contractual field in a number of mutually beneficial spheres such as economy, science, education, culture, etc., the unutilized potential of cooperation for the good of the two countries will be efficiently fulfilled.

The Armenian president and the Beninese ambassador shared the opinion that cooperation within the framework of the African Union where Armenia has observer status is also significant for the promotion of bilateral ties.

Serzh Sargsyan stressed the importance of cooperation in international organizations, expressing hope that the Republic of Benin will continue to take a balanced approach to the problems of vital importance to Armenia.
