Yanukovich Square renamed in Spitak city

Last night a group of citizens ‘renamed’ Yanukovich Square in the Armenian city of Spitak to Sergei Nigoyan Square.

A new plate with the words ‘Sergei Nigoyan Square. Small Maidan’ in Armenian, Russian and Ukrainian was pasted to the old sign by the action participants, Araratnews reported.

Sergei Nigoyan was the first victim in Kiev’s Maidan. He was killed on January 22.
