Presidents of Armenia and Georgia summarize results of talks

A farewell ceremony for Georgian President Georgy Margvelashvili who is on an official visit to Armenia was held today at the Armenian president’s residence, the presidential press service reported.

Prior to that, a face-to-face conversation of the two presidents took place. The sides summarized the results of the talks held during G. Margvelashvili’s visit, expressing confidence they will give a fresh impetus to friendly bilateral ties and help deepen Armenian-Georgian cooperation in several spheres of mutual interest.

The Georgian president was also expected today to visit the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and meet with Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II.

Following a working dinner with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, the delegation led by the Georgian president will leave Armenia.
