GMs V. Hakobian and H. Melkumian among championship leaders

The European Individual Chess Championship is underway in Yerevan. After round 8, two Armenian GMs – Vladimir Hakobian and Hrant Melkumian are among the leaders. They have earned 6 points each and share 2nd-14th places with several other players.

GM Alexander Motylev of Russia remains the sole leader with 7 points.
