Kamo Areyan: Mayor gave exacting assignments

The first annual sitting of the Yerevan city commission dealing with problems of disabled persons was held today to discuss the 2014 program of activities. The sitting was chaired by the commission chairman, First Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Kamo Areyan. The program includes projects related to social services, education, employment, human rights protection, healthcare, and integration of disabled people into society.

“Our commission’s task is to assist with the implementation of these projects. On the instructions of Mayor Taron Margarian, a large commission was set up. Great responsibility lies with it,” Kamo Areyan said, noting the commission has a lot of work to so this year and the mayor gave many exacting assignments.

The commission discussed nine main measures of the program and the also proposals and amendments concerning them. Commission members were instructed to summarize the results as soon as possible and submit the final program to the mayor, the press department of Yerevan Municipality reported.
