Vardeniats pass and Berd-Chambarak road closed in Armenia

The Vardeniats mountain pass and Berd-Chambarak motorway were closed due to snowstorms and low visibility as of 9:00 am today, according to Armenian Ministry of Transport and Communication.

Some sections of roads in Kotayk, Hrazdan, Sevan and Chambarak regions, and Goris-Sisian section of the interstate highway Yerevan-Yeraskh-Goris-Meghri are covered with ice.

Snow and ice removal work is done on roads.
