Armen Ashotian: Four parties threw their plans in trash bin
The results of the sitting of Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) Executive Body were unexpected to the four non-coalition factions, acting Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotian told reporters today, when speaking about the Armenian prime minister’s resignation.
“As far as I can see, they just threw all papers with their political plans and programs for coming months in trash bin. The authorities’ program is much more farsighted than the four parties’ plans,” he noted.
When asked if the new prime minister may be not a member of HHK, he said: “Yes. Being the locomotive of the country’s political course, the Republican Party can allow itself to entrust this job not to a HHK member, but to a man making part of the majority”.
The four non-coalition factions of the Armenian parliament said earlier that on April 28 they will hold a vote of no confidence in the government and demand the prime minister’s resignation.
