Hakobian: PM’s resignation is result of four factions’ activities
“The resignation of Armenian prime minister was a result of the joint activities of the four non-coalition factions. The rallies to be staged in Yerevan and regions would create a very different situation. Although the authorities say that the two events are not related, we state that the premier’s resignation is a result of the four forces’ actions,” the head of Heritage faction Ruben Hakobian told reporters following a two-hour meeting of representatives of the non-coalition forces.
Commenting on the statement of Republican Party of Armenia deputy chairman Armen Ashotian to the effect that after the prime minister’s resignation, the non-coalition forces may throw their plans in the trash bin, R. Hakobian called for civility. “If anyone doesn’t want to accept this reality, they don’t understand anything in politics,” Hakobian said.
He informed those present that the four parties will continue their cooperation. They will form an agenda soon and hold joint events. “We are in favor of a complete change of power,” Hakobian stressed.
